| Summary of Position: |
As an Account Manager, you will be involved with all of Mediscape's activities from internal team development and business
management through new business development and
client management through product and service sales through installation support. Your primary role will be to
negotiate sales relationships and commission structures with our builder partners, and you will be a key sales agent
working with the builder's sales team. The builder will sell the home, and you will be involved with follow-up
meetings with interested home buyers to sell upgrades to the home that fall into the product categories listed on our
Mediascape Services & Products page: from home networking
solutions to intercomm, distributed audio, home theater systems, and up to home automation. You will be trained on how
to program the home automation systems, and will participate in on-site programming as needed.
You will play an instrumental role in building the business practice. You will
be directly responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities (new projects, partners,
and clients), for working with and supervising junior sales staff and design specialists, for ensuring budget and schedule conformance,
for building the internal team, for contributing to
increased internal efficiency and effectiveness, and for contributing to corporate vision and direction.
You will report to senior corporate staff, will participate in the hiring and team development process, and
will advise senior management on the resources needed in order to maintain and increase team effectiveness.

| Detailed Duties: |
- Managing relationships with Mindscape’s home builder clients, and developing new relationships;
- Sales and business development, including strategic planning of business development efforts and targeting of key prospects;
- Supporting our partner homebuilders’ sales teams by providing marketing literature, limited product
training, and by coordinating Mindscape’s involvement with their sales processes;
- Participation in the sales process: meeting with pre-qualified home buyers to present upgrade options and secure sales;
- Training of less senior sales staff;
- Design of custom “connected home” upgrade packages for home builders;
- Design and programming of customized home automation solutions based on On-Q / Legrand product offerings;
- Meetings with and presentations to clients, designers, and contractors;
- Enhancing business relationships with existing clients and partners;
- Participating in internal review teams that are constantly reviewing company practices to maintain and
increase effectiveness, quality, and efficiency, and to ensure continual internal shared learning;
- Local travel (typically under 3 hrs. round trip).

| Qualifications: |
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written;
- Proficiency with MS Office family of software products;
- Proven ability to work independently and with a team;
- Evidence of self motivation;
- An engineering or technology degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience;
- Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years of sales experience in a related industry;
- Proficiency with any of the following would be assets:
- AutoCAD drafting, any home automation platform (please indicate which one);
- PLC programming experience (please indicate which PLCs);
- any computer programming language (please indicate which languages);
- P.Eng, CET, PMP, LEED® AP designation an asset.
