| Summary of Position: |
|
As a Connected Home Systems Specialist, you will be involved with the design, sale, and delivery of home systems
to home builders. You will support contractors while they install the systems, and you will be a key sales agent
working with the builder's sales team. The builder will sell the home, and you will be involved with follow-up
meetings with interested home buyers to sell upgrades to the home that fall into the product categories listed on our
Mediascape Services & Products page: from home networking
solutions to intercomm, distributed audio, home theater systems, and up to home automation. You will be trained on how
to program the home automation systems, and will participate in on-site programming as needed.

| Detailed Duties: |
- Design of custom “connected home” upgrade product packages for home builders;
- Design and programming of customized home automation solutions based on On-Q / Legrand product offerings;
- Participation in the sales process: meeting with pre-qualified home buyers to present upgrade options and secure sales;
- Meetings with and presentations to clients, designers, and contractors;
- Enhancing business relationships with existing clients and partners;
- Contributing to identification of potential clients and project opportunities, and supporting senior
management’s coordinated pursuit of both;
- Supporting senior staff in proposal preparation and other business development efforts;
- Participating in internal review teams that are constantly reviewing company practices to maintain and
increase effectiveness, quality, and efficiency, and to ensure continual internal shared learning;
- Support will be available from senior management for all duties;
- Some project management duties depending on aptitude;
- Local travel (typically under 3 hrs. round trip).

| Qualifications: |
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written;
- Proficiency with MS Office family of software products;
- Proven ability to work independently and with a team;
- Evidence of self motivation;
- An engineering or technology degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with any of the following would be assets:
- AutoCAD drafting, any home automation platform (please indicate which one);
- PLC programming experience (please indicate which PLCs);
- any computer programming language (please indicate which languages);
- P.Eng, CET, PMP, LEED® AP designation an asset.
