| Summary of Position: |
|
As a Senior Project Manager, you will play an instrumental role in building the business practice. You will
be directly responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities (new projects, partners,
and clients), for working with junior project managers, for ensuring budget and schedule conformance,
for building the internal team, for contributing to
increased internal efficiency and effectiveness, and for contributing to corporate vision and direction.
You will report to senior corporate staff, will participate in the hiring and team development process, and
will advise senior management on the resources needed in order to maintain and increase team effectiveness.
Primarily, you will secure projects, manage their execution, and maintain regular contact with senior
management regarding all business activities. Typical projects are expected to include renewable energy
systems (primarily wind, solar electric, or solar thermal) for “better homes, better businesses, [and]
better communities”.

| Detailed Duties: |
- Direct accountability to corporate Managing Partners;
- Developing new clients and business partners, and enhancing business relationships with existing clients and partners;
- Identifying potential clients and project opportunities, and planning coordinated pursuit of both;
- Enhancing business relationships with existing clients and partners;
- Securing new renewable energy projects and managing their execution;
- Managing all aspects of project execution: technical, financial, and scheduling;
- Managing project related applications for applicable grants and incentives (eg: Ontario’s Standard Offer
Program and Conservation & Demand Management programs);
- Supervising junior staff in their execution of project activities;
- Training junior staff as necessary for specific project duties (technical and administrative);
- Participating in the hiring and team development process;
- Participating in internal review teams that are constantly reviewing company practices to maintain and
increase effectiveness, quality, and efficiency, and to ensure continual internal shared learning;
- Contributing to corporate development and business objectives.
- Local travel (typically under 3 hrs. round trip).

| Qualifications: |
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written;
- Thorough familiarity with MS Office family of software products;
- Approx. 5 years experience managing technical teams and/or committees;
- Proven ability to work independently and with a team;
- Evidence of self motivation;
- An engineering or technology degree or diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
- P.Eng, CET, PMP, LEED® AP designation an asset;
- Experience with RETScreen, Hot2000, AutoCAD, and/or HTML are assets;
- Experience with Ontario’s electricity sector and any related grant / incentive programs an asset;
- Experience with wind / solar industries an asset;
